Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all admissions processes, serving as a liaison to referral sources, families, payors, physicians, and hospital personnel involved with each admission. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to prioritize tasks, and work well under pressure.
Responsibilities- Coordinate admissions processes and serve as liaison to referral sources, families, payors, physicians, and hospital personnel.
- Process inquiry and referral calls, respond to requests for hospital and program information, assessment, and possible admission.
- Verify insurance, triage patients, enter calls and admissions into computer systems, and complete all admission paperwork with patients.
- Effectively communicate with patients, physicians, staff, and referral sources.
- Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) in state of Massachusetts.
- Education: Graduate of accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor Degree preferred.
- Experience: 2 years of psychiatric experience required, with working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field.
- Other: Excellent communication skills, ability to prioritize, work well under periods of high stress and pressure, and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
- Competitive compensation package, including salary $83,500 - $103,000 per year, depending on experience.
