Shift: Day, Friday to Sunday, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Experience: Not explicitly required, but previous clinical experience is implied

License: ARRT (R)

Certifications: ARRT (MR), BLS (AHA or ARC)

Must-Have:

  • ARRT (MR) certification
  • BLS certification

Job Description:

  • Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of a Radiologist.
  • Coordinate daily activities, including performing examinations and associated clerical duties.
  • Document patient history related to specific procedures as submitted by a physician.
  • Confirm patient identification through verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media as required.
  • Consult with radiologists and other physicians as necessary.
  • Select and operate equipment based on the demands of individual procedures while demonstrating correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
  • Maintain appropriate records as required by departmental standards.

Additional Skills/Information:

  • Provide core staffing support for diagnostic procedures during the weekend.
  • Requires strenuous physical effort, such as assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers.
  • Handle equipment and monitoring supplies efficiently.
  • Possess effective oral and written communication skills to interact with patients and hospital staff.
  • May frequently stretch, bend, twist, squat, or kneel during radiographic procedures.
  • Use hands for power gripping, speed work, and precision during manipulation of radiographic equipment and handling injured and diseased patients.
  • Adequate vision and hearing for distances of up to 10 feet are necessary.
  • Adapt to various physical conditions such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and being near moving equipment.
  • Able to adapt to changes in temperature and humidity.

Candidates must have successfully completed a formal Radiology Technology Program in an AMA-approved facility.
