  • Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance
    • Inspect, repair, and troubleshoot all vehicles, grounds, and school-owned equipment to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently.
    • Perform monthly inspections, purchase state inspection stickers, conduct bodywork, paint vehicles, sharpen lawn mower blades, and perform welding on district projects.

  • Mechanical Work
    • Perform mechanical work with skill, efficiency, and economy.
    • Diagnose mechanical issues, perform repairs, and adjust parts and systems on vehicles and equipment.
  • Inventory and Equipment Management
    • Manage the inventory of tools, hardware, and supplies required for maintenance work.
    • Perform periodic inventory checks of shop stock and district tools.
    • Oversee and direct personnel assisting with maintenance on a seasonal or as-needed basis.
  • Record Keeping and Compliance
    • Maintain accurate records of inspections, job assignments, and maintenance history.
    • Ensure district vehicles comply with state and emissions regulations.
    • Prepare and audit preventative maintenance programs and associated reports.
  • Safety and Supervision
    • Follow proper maintenance procedures, ensuring the correct use of tools and equipment.
    • Adhere to and enforce all applicable National, State, and Local safety practices.
    • Supervise and guide others to ensure safe and efficient operations.
