About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Ryder, a leading logistics company. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance and component inspections.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer tools.
  • Replace defective components and perform repairs as required.
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints and provide solutions.
  • Utilize shop management systems and electronic documentation to track work and maintain records.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred.
  • Basic tools required.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
  • Two years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in required experience.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred.
