This part-time on-call position is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. As a Support Specialist and Vocational Coordinator, you will provide flexible support and assistance to our participants in educational and vocational settings, promoting their independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide group and individual support, supervision, and transportation to participants in our ACE program and community worksite as needed.
  • Assist in managing a caseload of individuals, assess their needs, advocate for them, and assist in developing person-centered service and support plans.
  • Facilitate arts and crafts, games, exercise sessions, and educational outings as required.
  • Organize and prepare materials for production at the community worksite, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Work with participants to develop their work skills, social skills, and understanding of workplace boundaries.
  • Document participants' progress, daily production, and timesheets, reporting any concerns to the Community Worksite Coordinator.
  • Assist with activities of daily living and maintain organization in activity spaces.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork related to job responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and the ability to maintain a good driving record. They must also be certified in CPR, first aid, and AED, and have scheduling flexibility and the ability to accept hours with short notice.

Salary Information:

We offer a competitive salary range of $21.00 - $23.00 per hour, reflecting the importance of this role in supporting the well-being of our participants.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in education, arts, recreation, or vocational settings.
  • A valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • CPR, first aid, and AED certification.
  • Scheduling flexibility and the ability to accept hours with short notice.
