Job Overview

Community Residences is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Instructor to join our team. As a Residential Instructor, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement individualized plans of care to promote independence and self-advocacy.
  2. Provide educational and behavioral support to individuals, focusing on life skills, socialization, and community integration.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  4. Monitor and report changes in individuals' medical, physical, and behavioral status.
  5. Administer medication and maintain accurate records.
  6. Participate in training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in human services, with a focus on developmental disabilities.
  • Valid CT driver's license and good driving record.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
