Community Residences is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Instructor to join our team. As a Residential Instructor, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care to promote independence and self-advocacy.
- Provide educational and behavioral support to individuals, focusing on life skills, socialization, and community integration.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Monitor and report changes in individuals' medical, physical, and behavioral status.
- Administer medication and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- At least two years of experience in human services, with a focus on developmental disabilities.
- Valid CT driver's license and good driving record.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
