Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist

Job Summary:
The Cardiovascular Technologist in the Cath Lab at Resiliency is responsible for assisting in cardiovascular and interventional radiological procedures. This includes monitoring and assessing patients during procedures, as well as ensuring equipment is functioning properly. The technologist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide safe and effective care to patients undergoing invasive cardiovascular procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, including angioplasties, stent placements, and catheterizations.
- Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures and communicate any concerns to the healthcare team.
- Operate and maintain complex imaging equipment and ensure proper setup for each procedure.
- Document procedures and patient information accurately in compliance with hospital policies.
- Ensure a sterile field is maintained, adhering to infection control protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of direct work experience in Cardiovascular and/or Interventional Radiological procedures as a Cardiovascular Technologist.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from an accredited program with supervised clinical experience in invasive cardiovascular and/or interventional radiological procedures.
- Prior experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist in a Cath Lab or Special Procedures unit.
