Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new products and product lines, including concept development, design, testing, and validation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and manufacturing, to ensure that products meet customer needs and are produced efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain product specifications, technical documentation, and design standards.
  • Conduct design for manufacture assessments to ensure that products can be produced cost-effectively and with high quality.
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to source components and materials.
  • Administer design history and ensure that all engineering documents are up to date.
  • Provide technical support and training to colleagues and customers as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in product design and development, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in CAD design software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
