Job Summary: Allied is seeking a skilled Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our office areas, public entranceways, and restrooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and service office areas, public entranceways, carpets, tile floors, elevators/stairwells, and restrooms in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Work under the direction of the Janitorial Program Supervisor to ensure high-quality cleaning standards are met.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, emptying trash and recycling, restocking supplies, and replenishing paper products.
  • Operate buffing machines, wet vacuums, shampooers, and other equipment as needed.
  • Travel to various Allied facilities as required to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Six (6) months of custodial experience is preferred.
  • Must be cleared according to Act 169 in areas required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel to various locations as needed.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills are desired.

Working Conditions:

  • Normally works within an office environment or healthcare facility.
  • Occasional ground maintenance required.

Physical Demands:

  • Moderate work: duties require exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10lbs. of force frequently.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, etc., for eight (8) hours shift while operating equipment.

Accident or Health Hazards:

  • Occasional exposure to blood spills.
  • Occasional exposure to communicable diseases and body substances.
  • Occasional exposure to various chemicals and cleaning agents.
