Position Overview: Sussex Conservation District is seeking a dedicated Inspector to oversee our Heavy Equipment and Stormwater initiatives. This role is pivotal in collaborating with tax ditch organizations and private landowners to address conservation and maintenance challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement conservation strategies for tax ditches.
- Conduct inspections of stormwater management facilities to verify adherence to the Delaware Sediment and Stormwater Regulations.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong organizational abilities and effective time management skills, alongside proficient written and verbal communication capabilities. A bachelor’s degree in agriculture management, natural resources management/planning, or a related field is preferred, or alternatively, two years of relevant experience.
