Raymond West is a leading provider of end-to-end warehouse solutions, and we are seeking an experienced Logistics Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems design and installation, as well as experience with software and electrical controls.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement complex material handling systems, including conveyor systems, AS/RS, shuttle systems, and other various packaging equipment.
- Work with vendors and sales teams to develop estimates and provide technical support for customers.
- Install and implement customer software, including Power Pick Global, Supervisor software, and the Raymond iWarehouse Suite.
- Provide training and support to customers on the use of our software and systems.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in application, design, and installation of mechanical systems or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Networks, Material Handling concepts, inventory control methods, and general knowledge of ERP/WMS systems.
- Sedentary work environment with occasional travel required.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Able to perform duties under minimal supervision but respond to rapidly varying requirements.
