This full-time role offers opportunities across various office locations, allowing you to make a significant impact in the field of protection and controls engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement advanced protection schemes for high-voltage substations and transmission networks.
  • Create one-line and three-line diagrams to effectively represent protection configurations.
  • Conduct relay coordination studies and perform settings calculations to enhance system reliability.
  • Utilize CAD software to produce comprehensive drawings and schematics.
  • Prepare specifications and procurement documentation for equipment.
  • Analyze and simulate system performance using specialized software tools.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate protection and control systems into larger infrastructure projects.
  • Provide expert technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
  • Stay informed on industry advancements, standards, and best practices in protection and controls engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated experience in protection and controls engineering for high-voltage substations and transmission systems.
  • Expertise in relay coordination, settings calculations, and protection scheme design.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software tools such as ASPEN, ETap, and SKM.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including FERC and NERC requirements.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a focus on effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional quality work.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SCADA, RTU programming, and substation automation is advantageous.
  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the United States.
