Position Overview

The Electrical Quality Control Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and performance of electrical equipment utilized in oilfield engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections and quality assessments of incoming electrical equipment.
  • Interpret project specifications and codes as outlined in contractual agreements.
  • Possess a solid understanding of electrical standards including API-14FZ, API RP 505, IEC, IEEE, and NEC.
  • Coordinate and oversee Factory Acceptance Tests in collaboration with clients and engineering teams, ensuring comprehensive documentation is maintained.
  • Demonstrate expertise in materials and methodologies for electrical wiring and equipment installations.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of control activities and testing on electrical systems and capital equipment on land rigs.
  • Collaborate with Senior Electrical Engineers and other technical staff to provide necessary support and guidance.
  • Contribute to the formulation of the Commissioning Plan, defining roles and responsibilities, and executing the plan effectively.
  • Supervise the Pre-Commissioning and commissioning processes for Electrical and Instrumentation systems related to land rig drill floor equipment.
  • Execute assigned tasks in accordance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, ensuring the project QC Plan is current and accurate.
  • Facilitate the successful implementation of the Quality Management System across all activities.
  • Conduct random inspections at fabrication facilities to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.
  • Address customer feedback and initiate corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
  • Track non-conformances and monitor their resolution status.
  • Engage in internal audits across various departments as per the established Internal Audit Plan.
  • Assist the procurement team in vendor evaluations, ensuring compliance with supplier assessment criteria.
  • Ensure that all project documentation is completed and thoroughly reviewed.
