Recovery Coach

At the Center for Human Development, we are seeking a compassionate and experienced Recovery Coach to join our team. As a Recovery Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in their recovery journey from addiction. Your expertise and empathy will help individuals set and achieve their recovery goals, while providing a safe and non-judgmental space for them to share their experiences.

• Establish and support individual Recovery Plans, helping individuals set and achieve short-term goals
• Develop a supportive and confidential relationship with individuals, providing guidance and motivation towards recovery
• Collaborate with the New Beginnings program at Cooley Dickinson Hospital to provide education and support for pregnant and postpartum women in recovery
• Work closely with the team to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to recovery support

• First-hand lived experience in addiction and recovery
• Knowledge of the needs, concerns, and goals of individuals struggling with addiction
• Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a commitment to supporting individuals with significant needs
• Flexibility, a sense of humor, and the ability to work well within a team model and independently
• Reliability and ability to learn about and observe rules of confidentiality and boundaries

• Supervisory support and regular team gatherings
