Key Responsibilities

As an integral part of our Inpatient Rehabilitation Department, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive physical therapy services, including:
  • Conducting thorough evaluations to determine patients' rehabilitation needs based on both subjective and objective assessments.
  • Developing tailored treatment plans with clear, measurable goals for patients and their families.
  • Implementing treatment strategies according to established objectives and reassessing patients' progress regularly.
  • Providing education and guidance to patients and families regarding therapeutic activities and available community resources.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of evaluations and patient progress in compliance with medical record standards.
  • Collaborating with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development to uphold high standards of care.
Qualifications

What we are looking for in our Inpatient Rehabilitation Therapists:

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.

Experience:

  • Demonstrated customer service orientation.
  • Ability to meet physical demands and complete a fitness assessment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong active listening and observational abilities.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Windows and relevant software.
  • Effective time management and multitasking capabilities.
  • Team-oriented with a focus on building positive relationships.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Licensed Physical Therapist in Texas.
  • Preferred: Minimum one year of clinical experience.
  • CPR certification required.

Compliance and Physical Requirements:

  • Adherence to all regulatory guidelines and policies.
  • Must be in good health and capable of lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, walking, and standing required.
