Key Responsibilities

  • Register patients with strong guest relations and exceptional customer service skills, ensuring effective communication and a positive experience.
  • Review scheduled outpatient visits to ensure patients have been screened for discounts and payment arrangements have been discussed.
  • Assist patients with financial assistance forms, HCAP applications, and Medicaid applications as needed.
  • Review patient accounts for quality and accuracy, and update all aspects of a patient account.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of compliance and legally required registration forms, consents, literature, and documents.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous registration or scheduling experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, phone skills, and customer service knowledge.
  • Ability to work effectively in teams and communicate with all levels of staff.
  • Computer literacy and strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, often stressful environment while maintaining a respectful, caring, and professional manner.
  • Flexible schedule to meet staffing needs.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma required.
  • One or more years of medical office or customer service experience required.
