Job Title: Consulting Utility Forester

ACRT, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consulting Utility Forester to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing identification, inspection, and evaluation of trees and brush along utility lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of trees and brush along utility lines to identify potential hazards and develop recommendations for mitigation.
  • Collaborate with clients to discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customers to ensure effective communication and resolution of issues.
  • Develop and implement effective vegetation management strategies to minimize the risk of power outages and ensure safe and reliable utility operations.
Requirements:
  • 2-year or 4-year degree in forestry, horticulture, environmental science, or a closely related field.
  • 2 years of experience in Utility Vegetation Management or a related field.
  • Strong tree ID skills and ability to obtain Arborist/Utility ISA certification and pesticide applicators license.
  • Ability to work independently in all weather conditions and have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, and experience working with GIS integrated data collection software/hardware.
