Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Clinical Ophthalmologist to join our team at Allina Health. As a Clinical Ophthalmologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care by evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with ocular and visual disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, Diagnose, and Treat Patients: Conduct thorough eye exams, diagnose and treat patients with eye disorders, and provide consultation and education to patients and their families.
  • Review Patient History: Review patient medical history, collect and prioritize comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
  • Collaborate with Patients: Work collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being, considering cultural diversity, individual autonomy, and legal responsibilities.
  • Quality Improvement: Utilize quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or work flows.

Requirements:

  • Education: Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine required.
  • License: Licensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire.
  • Certifications: ACLS-BLS Tier 3 - Multisource, PALS - Pediatric Advance Life Support - Multisource, and NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation - Multisource required depending on business unit.
