Key Responsibilities

The Automotive Technician/Fabricator will be responsible for:

  • Executing cutting and welding tasks using various techniques.
  • Machining and fabricating materials and components.
  • Fitting, setting, and installing fabricated structures.
  • Repairing cargo boxes, trailers, frames, and wheelbases.
  • Maintaining accurate records of work performed and repairs completed.
  • Conducting repairs, designs, layouts, and estimations in metal forming, bending, and finishing.
  • Tracking time records related to repairs and shop hours.
  • Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Utilizing specialized equipment for building components.
  • Reviewing blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Preferred ASE credentials.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Excellent color vision and manual dexterity.
  • The physical capability to lift at least 75 pounds.
  • A minimum of two years of fabrication experience is preferred.
  • The ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings as required by DOT.
