Global Business Development Leader for Pharmaceutical Innovation

Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Associate Director, Business Development to lead our global business development activities, focusing on due diligence of pre-clinical and clinical stage opportunities. This role requires deep scientific knowledge and extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including a broad understanding of pharmaceutical development, regulatory, and commercial imperatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead due diligence scientific evaluation, including target product profile (TPP) development, clinical development plan (CDP) development coordination, and commercial evaluation.
- Collaborate with the BD evaluation team to drive activities necessary to establish the business case, presenting it to senior leaders.
- Maintain a therapeutic understanding and competence in areas of focus, such as neuroscience and nephrology, to identify viable opportunities.
- Perform search and evaluation activities for opportunities in related fields, proactively identifying and soliciting new strategic research partnerships.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Extensive scientific knowledge, ideally in neuroscience and/or nephrology, or other significant scientific training.
- Knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical development and commercialization practices.
- Business development experience within pre-clinical and/or clinical stage business development.
- Demonstrated ability to work in an international and multicultural environment, building relationships with stakeholders.
- Well-established global network in the biopharma industry.
The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $160,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage, basic life insurance, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and a 401(k) match.
