Job Summary

As a Progressive Care Unit Nurse with AMN Healthcare, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients. Our PCU RNs closely monitor patients recently released from the ICU, ensuring a smooth transition to regular hospital beds. With a focus on cardiac and other critical vital signs, you will detect any changes and intervene in life-threatening situations.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor patients in the Progressive Care Unit, closely observing cardiac and other critical vital signs
  • Intervene in life-threatening situations, ensuring timely and effective care
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Float to other units as needed, including Tele and Med Surg
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Active state RN license
  • ACLS certification (often required)
  • Ability to work all available shifts
