Job Summary:

As an Occupational Therapist at AdventHealth Central Florida, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their maximum potential in their daily lives. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional care and rehabilitation services to our patients, and we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations and re-evaluations of patients to identify their needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement and adapt treatment plans to ensure maximum benefit for patients, including goal setting, treatment activities, and frequency.
  • Document patient progress accurately, completely, and timely, using measurable and objective terminology.
  • Charge patients accurately and timely, following guidelines for CPT code format and insurance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for patient and caregiver education and provide teaching on a planned or spontaneous basis.
  • Participate in practice changes as a result of performance improvement activities and support quality standards and initiatives set by the department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and five years of work experience in Occupational Therapy, or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Licensed in the State of Florida as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
