We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at PeaceHealth Saint Joseph Medical Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our surgical team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Prepare operating rooms and equipment for surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, maintaining a sterile field and handling instruments and equipment as needed.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the surgical team.
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA)
- 2-3 years of experience in a surgical setting, preferably in orthopedic and neurosurgical services
- Epic experience preferred
- Ability to work variable shifts, including days, evenings, and nights, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Flexibility to work weekends and be on-call as needed
