Schreiner University is seeking a highly motivated and organized Transfer Advisor to join our team. As a key member of the Registrar's office, you will play a critical role in supporting the transition and success of transfer students.

About the Role:

This is a full-time, twelve-month position funded by Schreiner's HSI STEM Grant. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of student development theory and practice, with experience in advising, teaching, or counseling at the post-secondary level.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide academic advising and support services to transfer students, with a focus on STEM disciplines.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to two professional advisors, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and campus resources to connect students with mentors and support networks.
Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in education or a STEM-related field, with successful project management experience. Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, computer database, writing, and communication skills are also required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with professionally and educationally disadvantaged populations.
