Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist

Supplemental Health Care is seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team for a travel assignment in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital setting. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating respiratory care services for patients with various respiratory conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide respiratory care services to patients with a variety of respiratory conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, and asthma.
  • Assess patients' respiratory status and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Implement respiratory care interventions, such as oxygen therapy, bronchodilator therapy, and mechanical ventilation, as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' respiratory status and adjust care plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care services as needed.
Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • 1-2 years of experience in acute care settings, preferably in a hospital or critical care unit.
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Active Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Active Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
