Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled and motivated CT Technician to operate computed tomography scanners to produce high-quality images of the body for diagnostic purposes. The ideal candidate will have experience working with CT technology and a strong understanding of patient safety protocols. This is a part-time position, requiring 64 hours per pay period, with various evening and overnight shifts. No call or rotation is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Patient Imaging (80%):
- Perform routine and advanced CT procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury with minimal supervision.
- Screens patients before exams for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination.
- Explains and prepares patients for CT procedures, explaining the procedure, positioning patients, and providing support throughout the exam.
- Adjusts scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
- Maintains positive attitudes and working relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and other associates and peers.
- Support (15%):
- Assists with maintaining updated CT protocol manuals and software upgrades.
- Monitors medical supply inventory and orders supplies as necessary.
- Assists with training new associates, providing resources and technical expertise.
- Other Tasks (5%):
- Completes other tasks assigned by management.
- A minimum of [insert years] years of experience as a CT Technologist.
- Current ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT).
- Strong knowledge of CT technology and patient safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
