Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Building Automation Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical problem-solving abilities and a deep understanding of programming standards and procedures. This role involves developing programs for DDC controllers and creating user interface graphics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop controls systems databases and interfaces based on specifications provided by design specialists.
  • Offer technical assistance during project start-up and commissioning phases.
  • Support installation teams on-site with technical expertise.
  • Collaborate with other contractors to ensure project success.
  • Troubleshoot installation issues during both static and dynamic start-up phases.
  • Assist sales staff with accurate estimations and designs for building systems.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for project start-up and commissioning.
  • Provide ongoing service support for existing installations to ensure compliance with occupancy codes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all responsibilities.
  • Aid in the preparation of as-built drawings and Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
  • Facilitate the transition of projects from the operations team to the service team.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in BAS programming and third-party equipment integration.
  • Extensive knowledge of various commercial HVAC systems.
  • Proficiency in programming with Johnson Controls, Facility Explorer, or Tridium Niagara.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with BACnet and Modbus protocols.
  • Strong understanding of computer networks and BAS networks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
