Key Responsibilities:
Utilizes appropriate protective equipment in all relevant tasks.


The Nutrition Services Technician operates under the guidance of a Registered Dietitian, delivering nutritional care to patients/residents in compliance with current federal, state, and local regulations.


This role involves independently educating on fundamental nutrition principles, conducting resident interviews, gathering data, and providing guidance for dining services operations.


Collaborates effectively with team members to ensure the provision of high-quality nutritional services daily, serving as a resource to the Director of Dining Services to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary dining environment.

Demonstrates the core values and mission of the organization consistently.

Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum of an associate's degree in nutrition/dietetics from an accredited institution and/or Certified Dietary Manager certification.


Must possess at least 1-3 years of dietary experience in long-term care, either in a consulting or supervisory role.

Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is preferred.

Ability to adhere to meal preparation and serving schedules.

Maintains a neat and professional appearance.

Reliable, with experience in facilities that utilize large-scale food production methods.

Must undergo a criminal background check.

General knowledge of nutrition principles.

Ability to read and accurately interpret food tray card requirements.

Capable of maintaining records and completing necessary reports.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Familiarity with food production and serving techniques, as well as food safety and sanitation protocols.

Ability to interact positively with residents, clients, and other staff members.

Compliance with COVID-19 Vaccination Policies, as mandated by applicable regulations.


Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 10 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 10 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.

Must be able to work in proximity to food and cleaning products.
