About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Services Specialist to join our team as a HazMat Field Driver/Technician. This role will be responsible for the safe transportation of various waste streams at generator sites, operating Straight Trucks and Tractor Trailers to perform pickups of bulk and containerized hazardous and non-hazardous wastes.

The ideal candidate will have a Class A Commercial Driver's license with hazardous material and tanker endorsements, or be able to obtain them within 90 days from hire date. They must also possess knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and compressor systems, as well as skilled hands-on experience using hand and shop tools and instruments.

Responsibilities
  • Operate trucks safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with government regulations and procedures
  • Maintain driver documents, such as logbooks, quarterly permit books, trip reports, waste manifests, etc.
  • Ensure accurate placarding, load securement, HAZMAT load segregation and labeling
  • Perform DOT/MOT pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Effectively interact and communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction
  • Process hazardous and non-hazardous materials as needed
  • Assist in maintaining good housekeeping at facilities and on grounds
Benefits
