We are seeking a skilled Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team at FDIHB. As a key member of our Employee Wellness Program, you will provide massage therapy services to our employees, promoting relaxation, stress relief, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Provide massage therapy sessions to employees, utilizing various techniques to address physical and emotional needs.
- Conduct initial consultations to understand clients' medical histories, stress levels, and pain points, tailoring massage therapy plans accordingly.
- Administer massage therapy treatments using hands or physical treatment aids, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for clients.
- Maintain accurate treatment records, documenting clients' conditions, progress, and any necessary follow-up care.
- Assess clients' soft tissue condition, joint quality, and range of motion, making recommendations for further treatment or referrals as needed.
- Travel to clients' workstations or wellness centers to provide massage therapy services, promoting flexibility and convenience.
- Develop and propose treatment plans, specifying types of massage therapy and duration of sessions.
- Evaluate clients to identify areas of tension or pain, making recommendations for additional therapy or self-care practices.
- Prepare and blend oils, applying them to clients' skin as needed, ensuring a soothing and relaxing experience.
- Participate in department quality monitoring and performance improvement activities, contributing to the growth and development of our Employee Wellness Program.
- Collaborate with the Employee Wellness Coordinator to ensure seamless delivery of services and effective communication with clients.
- Perform general maintenance duties, including cleaning equipment and restocking supplies, to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist with employee-based planning teams, committees, or coalitions, contributing to the development of wellness and fitness education initiatives.
- Implement other duties as assigned, ensuring alignment with department objectives and obligations.
- Exercise independent professional judgment, adhering to HIPAA, Privacy Act, and corporate policy requirements when handling client records or personally identifiable information.
- Model healthy behaviors, promoting a positive and professional image in the public eye.
- Work collaboratively to meet the Wellness Department's goals, fostering a culture of wellness and employee satisfaction.
- Obtain health/medical history, medical clearance, and informed consent forms from clients, ensuring a safe and informed treatment experience.
- Two (2) years of direct work experience providing corporate massage or community massage as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT).
- Certificate of completion from an accredited Massage Therapy School.
- Current, valid, and unrestricted Massage Therapist License in any U.S. State.
- Enrolled member of the Navajo Nation or other federally-recognized Indian tribe.
