POSITION SUMMARY: The role involves the design, execution, and management of designated programs and initiatives, collaborating with various boards, councils, and community organizations. This position will primarily serve as the Miami County Family and Children First Coordinator (MCFCFC) for approximately 20 hours weekly, alongside additional responsibilities such as the National Alliance on Mental Illness Coordinator (NAMI), and support for board training and events.
The coordinator will collaborate with the Director of Clinical Services on various tasks and projects, and may occasionally provide backup support for hospital-related communications and activities.
QUALIFICATIONS: A degree or relevant licensure in a related field is preferred, along with knowledge of evidence-based and best practice behavioral health curricula. Candidates should possess the ability to analyze and interpret scientific and technical literature, financial statements, and legal documents. Strong communication skills are essential for addressing inquiries from customers, regulatory bodies, and business community members. Proficiency in writing articles and speeches that adhere to established style guidelines is required. The ability to effectively present information to senior management, public groups, and boards is crucial. A valid driver's license is necessary, and while not mandatory, an LSW or similar license would be advantageous.
DUTIES: The MCFCFC Coordinator will act as the liaison with the Ohio Family & Children First Council and associated programs. Responsibilities include preparing and submitting RFPs and grant documents as needed for the MCFCFC's operations, along with generating necessary reports for each grant and RFP. The coordinator will also prepare agendas, notifications to members, budgets, financial reports, and minutes for MCFCFC meetings, facilitate these meetings, and maintain relevant documents and records.
Approval from the Prosecutor's office for specific documents and contracts will be sought, followed by submission to the County Commissioners' office for resolution. The coordinator will review and approve FCSS expenditures in line with state guidelines, assess MCFCFC bills for appropriateness and fund classification, and submit them to the fiscal department for payment. Additionally, periodic income/expense reports will be provided to the MCFCFC, and assistance will be offered during audits or reviews as requested.
Building relationships with MCFCFC members and local community partners is essential to enhance awareness of MCFCFC services.
The NAMI Coordinator responsibilities include aiding the local NAMI affiliate in organizing, planning, and executing workshops, conferences, and educational programs. This role serves as the intermediary between the local affiliate and NAMI Ohio, providing information and guidance to the public. Collaboration with board and agency staff to promote and disseminate information about upcoming events and related topics is also required. The coordinator will arrange instructors for classes, facilitate member enrollment, and manage NAMI receipts and expenditures while coordinating with the fiscal department for financial documentation and reporting.
Collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services on various tasks and projects is expected, along with occasional backup support for hospital-related communications and activities. The coordinator will also work with TCB staff on training and other events and projects.
HOURS: Full Time FLSA: Exempt COMPENSATION: $43,000-$55,000 per year, depending on qualifications BENEFITS: Dental, Vision, OPERS Retirement, Life Insurance, Vacation, Sick Leave, Personal Days, Holidays including your Birthday, Flexible Schedule.
