Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Ascension Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, utilizing evidence-based practices and adhering to established standards of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a range of medical conditions, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, making adjustments to care plans as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, providing education and support to promote patient understanding and empowerment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices and policies to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan.
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 12 months of hire date.
  • BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 1 month of hire date.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 12 months of hire date.
  • 2 years of current Emergency Department experience, with a preference for experience in a similar setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • 3 years of Emergency Department experience.
