Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Technician to join our team. As a Diesel Technician at Certified Fleet Services, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing diesel vehicles to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair diesel vehicles accurately and efficiently
  • Assume personal responsibility for all aspects of work quality, timeliness, and results
  • Create comprehensive work plans after thoroughly assessing problems
  • Run diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpret results to offer suitable solutions
  • Inspect and repair or replace all vehicle systems and components
  • Test drive repaired vehicles to gauge performance
  • Train members of the shop in various vehicle maintenance and repair responsibilities
  • Assist in development of key practices and policies
Requirements
  • Self-motivated and committed to delivering excellent service
  • Consistently completes tasks accurately, thoroughly, and in accordance with established processes and procedures
  • Current knowledge of industry developments, best practices, and technologies
  • Expert knowledge of diesel repair and maintenance
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Experience working in a team environment with competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read, interpret, and create documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, and written correspondence
Education and Experience
  • GED or High School Diploma required
  • Completion of a formal diesel technician training program required
  • Dealership or Manufacturer Master Diesel Technician certification preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of diesel vehicle repair experience required
  • Current Valid Driver's License required, CDL preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing or walking
  • Ability to work in enclosed environments exposed to excessive noise, automotive shop environment, and cold or heat
  • Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
