We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team at Nuvance Health.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to pediatric patients in the intensive care unit.
- Assess patients for potential safety risks and develop plans to mitigate these risks.
- Coordinate and supervise the delivery of nursing care, including the delegation of tasks to other healthcare professionals.
- Assume the role of charge nurse and demonstrate independent problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
- Minimum of zero to six months of experience in a pediatric intensive care unit.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR) certification within three months of hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Other certifications as required by the unit or department.
The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of patient acuity. The nurse will be required to stand for long periods, lift patients, and use manual skills to perform various tasks.
