Per Diem Senior Ultrasound Technologist Specialty

We are seeking a highly skilled Per Diem Senior Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic sonographic examinations and providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques to locate, evaluate, and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional data.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to make quality images and perform studies in required modalities.
- Provide training and guidance to Ultrasound Technology students.
- Follow departmental HIS/RIS system procedures and protocol to ensure orders are verified and processed correctly.
- Effectively assess patients' information and status, and follow appropriate procedures accordingly.
- Recognize the need for and follow isolation precautions.
- Independently implement patient procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.
- Direct and monitor student clinical training.
- Certificate from an approved ultrasound/vascular technology education program.
- Registered or registry eligible to take the Registry exam (ARDMS) within 1 year of hire date.
- Cardiovascular Credentialed Int CCI.
- Am Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
