Job Description

Cape Fox Corporation subsidiary Concentric Methods is seeking an experienced Massage Therapist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical massage therapy services to patients with acute and chronic pain who have not responded well to conventional treatment modalities.
  • Work as a member of a multidisciplinary team to provide assessments, planning, implementation, coordination, evaluation, and monitoring of patients for health options and services.
  • Assist in developing, analyzing, integrating, monitoring, and managing healthcare delivery systems through communication and use of resources to promote quality and cost-effective outcomes across the continuum.

Job Requirements

  • Perform massage therapy procedures and modalities effective for a variety of musculoskeletal pain and medical conditions.
  • Examine all patients prior to initiating a treatment procedure or providing appropriate services.
  • Develop and review patient treatment plans in coordination with a credentialed provider for appropriateness prior to implementation of treatment.
  • Use complementary aids, such as infrared lamps, wet compresses, ice, and whirlpool baths, to promote the patient's care and well-being.
  • Consider medical contraindications to massage, such as deep vein thrombosis, bleeding disorders or blood thinners, damaged blood vessels, weakened bones from cancer, osteoporosis, or fractures, and fever prior to initiating treatment.

Education and Experience

  • Experience in medical massage therapy is required.
  • Knowledge of integrative medicine and soft tissue therapy is preferred.
