Job Summary

This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service Position. The Air National Guard Units are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Pneudraulic Systems Supervisor to join their team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and schedule work assignments on a daily or project-by-project basis within specified time requirements.
  • Assign tasks to be performed, explain prescribed methods and procedures, and instruct subordinates on new procedures.
  • Review work in progress and on completion, and obtain approval from supervisor for changes in standard or prescribed procedures.
  • Suggest ways or methods to improve operations or reduce costs, and recommend individuals for promotion or reassignment.
  • Counsel with employees on disciplinary issues and recommend disciplinary action.
  • Conduct on-the-job training and recommend employees for formal training programs.
  • Schedule leave and approve leave for short periods of time.
  • Ensure that regulations governing safety and housekeeping are observed.
  • Implement safety regulatory requirements and ensure that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment.
  • Prepare for and participate in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization, and command support exercises.
Requirements
  • Military Grades: Enlisted (TSgt/E6 promotable to MSgt/E7) MSgt/E7
  • Minimum Requirements: Experience or training that demonstrates knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles, troubleshooting procedures, and ability to use technical manuals and equipment specifications.
  • Specialized Experience: 36 months of experience or training that provided knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles, experience in fabricating fuel, oil, and vacuum hose lines, and experience in servicing, maintaining, disassembling, assembling, repairing, and testing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
