Highly Skilled Surgical Tech Wanted for Travel Position

Seeking a dedicated and skilled travel surgical technologist to join our team at Cross Country Nurses.
About the JobWe are currently looking for a highly experienced surgical technologist to work in Burlington, Vermont. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of recent acute surg tech experience, nationally certified in surgical technology (NBSTSA), BLS certification, and preferably some trauma experience.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a high level of professionalism throughout their tenure with us.
Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity to work as an operating room tech (ORT) in a hospital or outpatient surgery center setting. As a key member of the surgical team, you will be responsible for prepping the OR, surgical tools, and equipment, helping nurses and surgeons scrub in, maintaining sterile conditions, assisting with tools during surgery, cleaning the OR after surgery, and transporting patients to and from surgery.
Salary and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, paid bi-weekly, along with a generous housing allowance and comprehensive health insurance plan. You will also receive dependent health insurance, referral bonuses, travel reimbursement, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation and maintenance of the operating room, including instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Assisting nurses and surgeons during surgical procedures
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Transporting patients to and from surgery
- Cleaning the operating room after surgery
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute surg tech experience
- Nationally Certified in Surgical Technology (NBSTSA)
- BLS Certification
- Trauma Experience preferred, not required
