Key Responsibilities
  • Project Lead: Establish and maintain effective communication with clients, interface with other engineering disciplines, and supervise designers, drafters, and engineers.
  • Structural Design: Design and develop structural steel and concrete buildings and structures, including foundations, crane runways, and lifting beams.
  • Project Management: Estimate engineering costs, create reports, and manage project timelines.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior engineers, designers, and drafters.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant working experience in structural engineering.
  • BS in Civil Engineering Degree.
  • P.E. certification is an asset.
  • Heavy industry experience and general industrial design knowledge.
  • Understanding of seismic design, geotechnical reports, and applicable US Codes and Standards.
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling and CAD drafting practices.
