Position Overview:
Pacifica Continental is seeking skilled Field Service Technicians to join our dynamic team.

The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver exceptional maintenance and repair support for CNC machine tools, both on-site and via remote assistance.


Key Responsibilities:
As a Field Service Technician, you will be expected to:
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of technical processes.
  • Develop and analyze various reports related to service operations.
  • Collaborate effectively with other service professionals to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Provide training and support to fellow technicians on the latest product lines.
  • Conduct machine installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Foster strong communication and customer service relationships with clients.

Additionally, you will be responsible for managing challenging customer interactions positively, responding promptly to inquiries, and gathering feedback to enhance service quality.


Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a technical discipline is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in troubleshooting and maintaining CNC machine tools.
  • Familiarity with DMG or MORI SEIKI machines, as well as Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and/or Siemens controls is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with a customer-oriented mindset.
  • The ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC ladder diagrams.
  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments and manage competing priorities.

This role requires a minimum of 50% travel across multiple states, with the expectation of working at the Technical Center when not engaged with clients.


Work Environment:

The position involves exposure to manufacturing and machining settings, which may include potential hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, and heavy machinery.


Physical Requirements:
Frequent Activities:
  • Traveling, operating a vehicle, and various physical movements including sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Engaging in repetitive motions with limbs and torso.

Periodic Activities:
  • Using power equipment and working at a desk with computers and phones.

Occasional Activities:
  • Lifting or moving items weighing up to 50 pounds.
