The Thompson Lead Host is responsible for creating a positive first impression and enhancing the dining experience by providing friendly, efficient service. This leadership role involves welcoming guests, managing table assignments, offering menu recommendations, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Thompson Austin features 212 luxury guestrooms and Suites, a 10,000 square foot wellness center, 3 restaurant + bar concepts, an expansive pool deck, and private cabanas, and over 10,000 square feet of flexible and traditional event space.

The 193-king room tommie Austin is designed for the spirited adventurer. Guests will be encouraged to explore Austin's unparalleled offerings and in every square foot, tommie is an opportunity to meet and be inspired. Where art and atmosphere seep in from the surrounding neighborhood, and collaborations seep back out. tommie will feature a bespoke coffee and wine shop and allow guests to be the master of their own stay while still offering warm and authentic service.

Both hotels are anchored on the ground floor by our cantina-themed restaurant, Arriba Abajo, a 13,000 sq ft. indoor and outdoor oasis as well as 5th Street Diner + Royale Room, a street-side concept serving daily fare for locals, residents, and guests alike. This mixed-use project will also feature a residential tower – Sienna – and 10,000 square feet of retail space and a 7,000 sq. ft. state of the art fitness center and simulator room, appropriately named the "T" Box.

Responsibilities

· Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner, setting the tone for their dining experience.

· Manage table assignments and seating arrangements to optimize the dining room flow and guest satisfaction.

· Provide guests with menu recommendations and share knowledge about the restaurant's offerings.

· Act as the final point of contact for guests, ensuring all their dining needs are met and their experience is satisfactory.

· Lead, train, and support other greeters and hosts/hostesses, ensuring they are equipped to meet service standards.

· Coordinate with the restaurant management team to implement efficient seating strategies and manage waitlists.

· Address and resolve any guest concerns promptly and professionally.

· Maintain a thorough knowledge of the restaurant's menu, special promotions, and operational details.

· Ensure that the greeter stand is organized and that an adequate stock of backup menus are readily available.

· Ensure that opening and closing greeter checklists and duties are being completed.

· Adhere to all sequence of service steps with a focus on maintaining Forbes Standards.
