Key Responsibilities

The Retail Sales Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring outstanding customer service and exemplifying best practices in sales and service. This position collaborates closely with the Store Manager to oversee daily operations and maintain a high standard of service.

The primary responsibilities include:
  1. Achieving Sales Goals: The Retail Sales Supervisor is accountable for understanding all facets of store performance and metrics. In the absence of the Store Manager, this role will set objectives and drive revenue while ensuring a top-notch customer experience.
  2. Customer Engagement: Actively interacts with customers to understand their needs, fostering relationships and sharing product insights to enhance their shopping experience.
  3. Operational Standards: Ensures that both the sales floor and storage areas are organized and maintained to company standards. This role is entrusted with store funds and inventory, requiring strict adherence to procedures and accurate record-keeping.
  4. Merchandising Excellence: Utilizes company guidelines to make informed merchandising decisions, ensuring the store meets established standards.
  5. Training and Development: Aids in onboarding new team members by providing essential training in customer service and operational procedures. Supports the Store Manager in implementing new policies and training initiatives.
To fulfill these responsibilities, the Retail Sales Supervisor must demonstrate the following competencies:
  1. Accountability: Holding oneself and others responsible for meeting commitments.
  2. Effective Communication: Employing various communication methods to ensure clarity and understanding among diverse audiences.
  3. Customer-Centric Approach: Identifying opportunities to create solutions that align with customer expectations and building lasting relationships.
  4. Business Acumen: Leveraging knowledge of industry trends and sales strategies to support organizational objectives.
  5. Decision-Making: Making timely and informed decisions that contribute to the organization's progress.
  6. Mentorship: Assisting management in the development and implementation of training programs for sales staff.

Qualifications:
  • Preferred two or more years of experience in a sales leadership role.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and planning abilities, along with effective management and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with technology; experience with computer-based training is advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all responsibilities and competencies outlined above.
