Physical Therapy Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Resilient Healthcare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of delivering top-notch healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exercise Program Development: Prepare engaging exercises and activities for physical therapy sessions with patients, tailored to their individual needs and goals.
  • Counseling and Consultations: Provide guidance and support to new patients, their family members, and caregivers, ensuring they feel informed and empowered throughout their treatment journey.
  • Goal-Oriented Care: Work closely with physical therapists to set and achieve goals for patients, identifying areas of progress and challenges along the way.
  • Direct Patient Care: Assist physical therapists in direct patient care, adhering to each patient's plan of care and ensuring seamless communication among team members.
  • Preparation and Maintenance: Prepare equipment and exam rooms, guaranteeing proper sterilization and safety procedures are followed to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Patient File Review: Thoroughly review patient files prior to appointments, ensuring a clear understanding of the challenges to be addressed and the necessary documentation is completed in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Licensure: Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Texas.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in computer software commonly used for documentation and report preparation.
  • Education: Associate degree in Physical Therapy is required.
  • Knowledge and Adherence: Demonstrates knowledge and adherence to HIPAA legislation and other patient privacy laws.
  • Experience: Experienced in working with sensitive and personal patient records and information.
  • Troubleshooting: Proficient in troubleshooting common software and hardware challenges related to speech pathology tools.
  • Physical Demands: Physical endurance and ability to work primarily in a standing position, with the capacity to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Professionalism: Demonstrates a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with patients, family members, or other staff members.
  • Attention to Detail: Accountability and attention to detail is essential when handling and documenting important medical information.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off. The estimated salary for this role is approximately $72,000 per year, considering the location and industry standards.
