POSITION SUMMARY
This role entails executing general mechanical upkeep of facility machinery efficiently and courteously.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance on manufacturing apparatus
  • Repairs and oversees facility systems including HVAC, plumbing, compressed air, and humidification
  • Accurately utilizes measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, and micrometers
  • Performs basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, ballasts, water and air filters, plumbing fixtures, cleaning drains, and managing forklift batteries
  • Prepares and operates machine tools like grinders and drill presses for the repair or fabrication of machine components
  • Diagnoses electrical and electronic issues
  • Troubleshoots and rectifies mechanical system problems
  • Addresses issues with motors, pumps, compressors, and other plant systems
  • Engages in preventative maintenance activities
  • Available for on-call duties as necessary
  • Maintains precise maintenance documentation
  • Operates scissor lifts and forklifts
  • Executes additional responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in machinery maintenance

  • Proficient understanding of AC/DC motors.
  • Familiarity with basic electrical and mechanical safety protocols
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Knowledgeable in the safe operation of hand tools and small power tools
  • Availability for on-call work as required
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities
  • Consistent attendance record
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary; significant overtime may be expected during peak periods
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
