We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at Focus Staff in Escondido, California. This is a contract/temporary/travel position that requires 13 weeks of commitment.
About the Job:This position involves observing cardiac rhythms of patients on monitors, running and posting rhythm stripes at designated intervals, interpreting rhythms, validating computer readouts, checking lead placement on patients, comparing posted strips to previous ones, notifying nursing staff of changes, testing equipment for proper working order, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:- At least 2 years of experience as an EKG Technologist.
- Independent decision-making skills.
- Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions.
- Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
- Able to relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with other employees.
- Capable of maintaining regular attendance.
- Competitive pay package based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
