Overview

The Manufacturing Process Specialist is responsible for developing and documenting production methodologies, materials, tools, and processes associated with back-end semiconductor assembly. This role involves conducting analyses and selecting methodologies to address challenges and improve product yield and process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Designs high-yield, cost-efficient processes tailored to product specifications and customer demands.
• Stays informed about advancements in manufacturing and design technologies.
• Creates and implements Design of Experiments (DOE) for process enhancement using relevant statistical analysis tools, such as JUMP, Minitab, Excel Statistics, or similar.
• Establishes processes in accordance with product specifications.
• Assesses and validates process and design alternatives based on manufacturability.
• Understands cost of goods sold principles and develops process enhancements to improve manufacturing cost-effectiveness.
• Recognizes intellectual property considerations related to the processes being developed.
• Fosters positive and collaborative communication with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• Recent graduates may be considered; relevant technical internship or co-op experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with MIL-PRF-38535, MIL-STD-883, ISO9001, and EIA/JEDEC standards.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Skills:
  • Capable of functioning effectively within a team and as an individual contributor in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at various organizational levels.
  • Adept at leveraging and/or involving others to achieve project goals.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office software suite.
  • Skilled in multitasking, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up abilities, along with meticulous attention to detail.
