Your Role:The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), in collaboration with the Registered Nurse, is responsible for delivering and overseeing comprehensive nursing care to designated age-specific populations.

LPNs will engage in a structured training program that includes unit-based orientation and a transition to practice session under the guidance of a preceptor. This program utilizes a structured module for primary duties and responsibilities, leading to independent practice within a collaborative care framework upon successful completion of training.

Compliance with the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and adherence to the regulations of all relevant local, state, and federal agencies is essential. Active participation in exceptional customer service and maintaining respectful relationships is expected.


Your Contributions to the Team:
  • Collaborates with the RN, patient, family, and healthcare team to review and implement patient care plans on the assigned unit.
  • Administers prescribed treatments and medications competently and safely within the scope of practice.
  • Coordinates patient care activities to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Effectively communicates the care plan to all healthcare team members throughout the shift.
  • Delegates tasks appropriately to unlicensed personnel based on demonstrated competencies.
  • Interprets diagnostic data relevant to patient age and condition, including lab results and monitoring data.


Qualifications:
Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Basic computer proficiency and strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Active LPN license in the state of employment
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
