Job Summary:

The Registered Medication Aide is responsible for providing high-quality care and services to our residents by administering medication and treatments in a safe and organized manner.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and treatments to residents in accordance with their individualized care plans.
  • Document medication administration and resident care in accordance with Sunrise Senior Living policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Resident Care Director and Wellness Nurse to ensure accurate and timely medication administration.
  • Participate in daily Cross Over meetings to discuss resident care and medication administration.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and Individualized Care Plans (ICPs).
  • Participate in training and education programs to maintain certification and stay up-to-date on best practices in medication administration.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Registered Medication Aide certification in the state of employment.
  • Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
  • Ability to make choices and decisions in the best interest of residents.
  • Ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
