Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Part-Time Social Worker/Counselor to join our Adolescent Residential Program team in Brentwood, NY. As a key member of our team, you will provide direct clinical services to adolescents in a substance abuse treatment setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate individual and group sessions, including specialty groups, in a professional and caring manner.
  • Manage caseloads from intake to discharge, ensuring appropriate levels of care and clinical interventions.
  • Provide backup coverage for clinical staff absences and demonstrate initiative in task completion.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director and Coordinator to effectively manage workload and address program issues.
  • Participate in quality improvement programs and support actions to improve care and services based on outcome data.
Requirements
  • Advanced degree required; LMSW, LCSW, LMHC or higher preferred.
  • Limited permit or clinical master's level candidate with relevant experience will be considered.
  • 2-3 years of experience with substance abuse disorders.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with clients with co-occurring and mental health problems.
  • 1-2 years of experience working in an OASAS-funded facility a plus.
  • Commitment to providing quality services and outcome-driven performance measures.
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.
  • Experience with AVATAR electronic health records a plus.
  • Bilingual Spanish or Polish a plus.
