About the Role

Rummel Construction, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Heavy Equipment Field Welder to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance and repair crew, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal functionality and structural integrity of our heavy equipment and machinery.


Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform welding repairs and fabrications on heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and trucks, to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
  • Equipment Evaluation: Evaluate equipment damage and defects to determine the appropriate welding methods and materials required for repair.
  • Operational Efficiency: Operate welding equipment and machinery such as stick, MIG, and TIG welders, plasma cutters, and grinders to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with maintenance and repair teams to identify equipment issues, recommend solutions, and carry out necessary welding repairs on-site.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards during all welding and fabrication activities.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in welding is strongly preferred. Proven experience as a field welder, preferably in heavy equipment or industrial settings.
  • Welding Skills: Proficiency in various welding methods, including stick, MIG, and TIG, with the ability to select the appropriate method for each project.
  • Physical Demands: Physical stamina and strength to work in challenging outdoor and on-site conditions.
  • Qualifications: Solid understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to welding and heavy equipment operation. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes subsidized health insurance, paid-time off, paid holidays, 401k plan, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), and voluntary dental and supplemental benefits.
